I resolve nothing

Is that bad?

I'm not saying that there aren't PLENTY of things that I could improve on or change, or dozens of new things I could try... but having the entire year clouded by things that I need to do differently puts a pressure on life that I would rather just not have.

To me, resolutions are a reflection of regret or displeasure with how things were during the past year, and 2008 was a really great year for me all-in-all. My kids are healthy, my husband got promoted, I *finally* felt on top of my working-Mom game, and the cherry on top was being selected for the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

I know what you're thinking, in the words of Laurie Berkner "You're not perfect", and that is certainly my case...so If I HAD to resolve something my quick list would be 1) Lose the 5 lbs I gained 2) Get the house organized 3) Be more patient 4) Spend less (or save more, however you want to look at it). If these are the "pitfalls" of my life, I'm darn lucky. I won't resolve to do any of these things...I'll thank my lucky stars and I'm willing to bet they will change themselves.
