EEEEEeeeeeek!

This is what I have been screaming in my head for the last hour and a half.

I'M HERE!!!!

Plane flight was great, I sat in Row 2 (which I NEVER do, we always go to the back with the kids). I was able to finish Twilight and read a full issue of People. I did not once have to get up to go to bring anyone to the bathroom. Simple pleasures.

The nerves really set in when we landed. I composed myself and headed to the baggage claim as I had been directed. At the bottom of the escalator I spotted a bunch of "sign holders", but quickly noticed a man with a Disney name tag and my name on the sign in his hand. I felt like a rock star (we'll actually that's a lie, it was actually somewhat embarrassing for me).

We waited for my bag and a Disney Cast member from guest relations greeted me. He introduced himself as Irvine and he will be bringing me to the resort.

Irvine was a former college program participant as well, so we had lots to chat about on the ride over. Once we reached the resort he had a valet guy take this picture
Next I went inside to check in here:

And right away I noticed Laura checking in as well! It was so great to meet her - she has a LOT on her plate right now! I also bumped into Doug (the only Dad on the panel), he was picking up his itinerary.

Then the resort manager introduced himself, so very kind. Then checked what room/building I was in and said that the room is brand new. Completely refurbished. Not a nail in the room is original. Very cool! I am in Cabanas, the only section I haven't stayed in prior so that's cool. As I walked to the room I felt so excited - everything has been top notch thus far, and everyone I've seen has been so kind & welcoming.

As I opened the door to my room, it was clear that not only was it new...I am most likely the first person to sleep here. The smell of the new carpet was overwhelming (in a good way for me). It is beautifully decorated!

I hate to rush this - but I really have to get going. I opened my itinerary, and wow!
Tonight, we have a welcome reception at Rix Lounge then we are going for a tour of Cinderella's Castle Suite! Followed by enjoying Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party with VIP viewing of the parade & fireworks. Wow. Holy wow.

So that's my update thus far, hate to run but I have to figure out what I am going to wear!
